3 residential blocks of flats successfully sold at the MMJ Auction on Wednesday night held at the Wollongong Golf Club for well above reserve prices.

  • 60 Grey Street, Keiraville consists of a block of 6 flats located within the Keiraville Village and a short walk to the university sold for above $1.8 million.
  • 98 Corrimal Street, Wollongong which is a block of 9 flats close to Wollongong Harbour, transport and numerous eateries & bars successfully went under the hammer for $2.25 million and finally
  • 137 Gipps Road, Keiraville which is a well-constructed block of 6 flats sold above reserve for $1.90 million.

Residential Sales Agent and MMJ Wollongong Director David Geary said “These sales show how strong buyers confidence is in the market at the moment, particularly investors.

Mr Geary said the apartments were sold as a package in highly sought after locations.

Also going up for sale on the evening was a mixed-use and multi-tenanted commercial property located at 266-268 Crown Street, Wollongong.

With the property under negotiations during the auction it went on to sell for $1.4 million in the following days.

The sale went to a local investor who also holds significant other assets in the region.
