The Ilawarra’s property market showed no signs of slowing down last night with 7 properties up for Auction last night at the MMJ Wollongong event.
The event was held at Wollongong Golf Club and saw residential land, commercial buildings, a sea-side house and CBD apartments go under the hammer.
Auctioneer Daniel Hastings said that there were several stand out properties including 17 Birch Crescent, East Corrimal and 58 Gipps Street, Wollongong which both sold for over 1m individually.
MMJ Wollongong has added this most recent auction to a successful selling campaign with an 83% auction clearance rate since January, 2015 and over $20,175,000 worth of property sold.
MMJ Residential Sales Director, David Geary puts these numbers down to “low supply and high demand of properties in the region, as well as buyers and investors piggy-backing on global and social factors.
The forecast is that the market will continue in the same direction coming into spring.”
