The Australian Government is reviewing the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (PPS Act) and would like to hear from you.
Your feedback is wanted on a number of issues including:
  • the impact of the PPS Act on small business
  • how well small business owners understand the Act
  • your ability to use the Act to your business’ benefit.
Your comments will help in the review of the PPS Act, including how well it has met its objectives in lowering borrowing costs for small business and increasing the range of personal property that can be used to secure finance.
You can make a submission  and find out more about the review on the Attorney-General’s Department website.
Submissions close on 6 June 2014 for issues relating to small business. Submissions for all other issues relating to the PPS Act are welcomed until 25 July 2014.
Sign up to the Business Consultation website for more opportunities to have your say on government policy.
