Upcoming Development Site Auctions

Kingston Section 60

  • KINGSTON – The largest development site on Kingston Foreshore is to be auctioned on 31st March 2015. The mixed use site is zoned CZ5 and at 13,086sqm offers an opportunity to construct up to 240 dwellings. The site is situated adjacent to the Canberra Railway station and is a short walk to the water front promenade.
  • COOMBS – The long awaited Coombs local centre sites (Block 3 Section 36) will be auctioned by the LDA on 4th March 2015. The first supermarket site for the Molonglo Valley will be included at the centre, with a GFA of up to 1,500sqm, and GFA for other shops and businesses up to 1,000sqm. The total site area is 8,424sqm with provision for parking. In addition, a community use site is on offer, situated adjacent the future Coombs school. Block 1 Section 17 is 8,844sqm and will include a minimum 120 place child care centre, community centre of at least 300sqm and optional additional community facility. Once complete, Wright and Coombs will be home to over 3,000 dwellings.
  • GREENWAY – The final two CZ2 residential development sites at Southquay will be auctioned on 25th February 2015. Block 1 Section 74 is 2,240sqm for 27 – 54 permitted dwellings. Block 1 Section 79 is 3,582sqm for 15 – 21 permitted dwellings.

  • MONCRIEFF – Six multi-unit sites will also be auctioned on 25th February. The blocks range in size from 1,586sqm to 6,860sqm for between 6 – 90 dwellings over RZ3 and RZ4 zonings. The auciton follows on from the successful sale by ballot of over 200 residential blocks in the suburb. When complete, Moncrieff will include approximately 2,200 dwellings, a small group centre, community facilities and parks and playgrounds.

Recent Site Sales

  • KAMBAH – Two child care centre sites sold at auction on 11 February. Block 21 Section 45 of 3,506sqm – SOLD for $800,000. Block 5 Section 239 of 4,652sqm – SOLD for $940,000.
