Tim Heaton, Director of Valuations at MMJ Real Estate Canberra is now an accredited NABERS assessor for offices, adding more value to the already diverse umbrella of services within the MMJ group.
What is NABERS?
NABERS is a national rating system that measures the environmental performance of Australian buildings and tenancies. Put simply, NABERS measures the energy efficiency, water usage, waste management and indoor environment quality of a building or tenancy and its impact on the environment.
Why would I need it?
- The National Green Lease Schedule (GLS) requires annual accredited NABERS ratings to be undertaken to demonstrate progress and compliance.
- To participate in the City Switch Program
- As part of a NABERS Commitment Agreement
- To monitor and improve building efficiencies with an overall goal to maximise asset performance/return.
