It’s been a big couple of weeks in new Canberra projects with several new Development Applications lodged.
Block 59 Section 50, Kingston
The “Trevillian Quay” development, situated on the island at Kingston Foreshore is set to get underway with the DA being lodged for a mixed use building of 156 residential dwellings, 14 commercial tenancies and ground and basement car parking. The 6,826sqm block is zoned CZ5.
Woden Green
The third stage of Hindmarsh’s Woden Green development comprises 46 one bedroom units and 59 two bedroom units over three, three storey buildings, with basement storage and car parking.
The total Woden Green development will eventually comprise some 1,500 dwellings, with five sites remaining still to be developed. There is also the possibility of the project including an office block conversion to 320 additional apartments.
Still in Woden…
The Tradies Group’s redevelopment has been downscaled, with plans now underway for a 19 storey residential tower of 137 dwellings, and a 10 storey office block.
Harrison and Jacka
Smaller scale developments continue to pop up across the newer suburbs. A recent DA was lodged for 11 units at Block 1 Section 163 Harrison – five being single storey and six being two storey dwellings. Another project is underway at Block 1 Section 6 Jacka – 12 new two bedroom dwellings with associated car parking.
